Meet Ryan Walton-CEO of  Tarpon Roofing

At the heart of Tarpon Roofing is a leader who brings both industry expertise and personal integrity to every project. Born and raised in Ames, Iowa, our founder and CEO grew up in a household where education and entrepreneurship were everyday values—his mother a professor at Iowa State University, and his father a local business owner. These early influences laid the foundation for his strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and commitment to quality.

His heritage also extends to Lafayette, Louisiana, where weekends with his grandparents introduced him to the region’s vibrant culture. Days spent fishing and eating crawfish weren’t just memorable—they taught him patience, discipline, and an appreciation for hard work.

From Rooftop to Leadership

His journey into roofing began in 2012 with Mastercraft Exteriors, a respected national contractor. Starting in sales, he quickly rose through the ranks, driven by a deep understanding of both people and the trade. He then joined BulletROOF, where he advanced from sales to Regional Vice President and ultimately to Vice President, gaining hands-on experience in leadership, operations, and large-scale project management.

After more than a decade in the industry, he launched Tarpon Roofing LLC—realizing his long-held dream of leading a company grounded in honesty, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer care.

Family-Focused, Community-Driven

Outside of work, he is not only a devoted husband but also the proud father of two wonderful daughters, ages 17 and 10. His family plays a crucial role in his life, serving as both his anchor and his greatest inspiration. Their support and love fuel his unwavering mission to deliver top-quality roofing solutions that families and businesses can count on—both today and for many years to come. He often reflects on how the safety and comfort of his own family drive him to ensure that others receive the same level of protection and peace of mind.
